I take part in extreme sports such as wake-boarding and windsurfing so I can't guarantee I'll be injury-free. So I decided to take out a private medical policy. Only PruHealth fitted my age and lifestyle, and not only was it good value, I could earn points that would give me cashback if I did enough exercise, lived healthily and kept an eye on my weight. I do these things anyway so this was the obvious choice for me - plus I could get a discount on a gym I already used. The points and promise of cashback after three years gave me the incentive to motivate myself even more. I'm now on the gold level and hope to reach platinum before the New Year. I might pay the same premium elsewhere but I won't get the health incentives or the discounts.
